Early Detection Is Our Best Chance Against Cancer.
It’s the reason we make preventive care more accessible to everyone.
About the Moncrief Mobile Screening Clinic.
We know early detection is key to successful cancer treatment. Our Mobile Screening Clinics give you the ability to offer on-site preventive care to the women in your company.
Reasons To Screen
Cancer can’t always be felt.
Mammography does a better job detecting cancer than you or your doctor. Regular breast exams are an important way to find changes, but evaluating by touch alone can give cancer time to grow and spread.
A mammogram can see changes in breast tissue as small as a grain of sand, making it the best tool for detecting cancer as early as possible.
Breast cancer has a high cure rate when it’s caught early.
Mammograms can help detect cancer early, before it spreads. According to the American Cancer Society, when breast cancer is detected while it’s contained to the breast, the five-year survival rate is 99%.
A mammogram can save a life.
When breast cancer is found early, it’s possible to remove only the cancerous tissue (lump) while preserving the healthy tissue around it. Mammograms not only save lives, but they also save many women from a full mastectomy.
Why Screen With Us
All-Female Staff
Mammograms are performed by our all-female staff who are bilingual, highly trained, and highly experienced.
Comfort and Convenience
We provide a comfortable environment, the latest technology, and flexible appointments that take 20 minutes or less. And we bring it all to you!
Follow-up and Navigation
Every scan is read by a breast fellowship-trained radiologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and we communicate results directly to your employees.
All patients with normal findings will be kept in our system, and a reminder will be sent to them in 11 months to encourage them to repeat their mammogram hopefully at another Moncrief mobile screening event.
If further diagnostics are needed, our nurse navigators help schedule a follow-up appointment at UT Southwestern or the employee’s provider of choice.
Extended Education
Prior to your screening event, we can provide education programs from our experts on topics such as cancer prevention, culinary medicine, fitness, and genetic testing. These can be held in person or virtually.
Help Underserved Patients
Mammograms are funded by your company’s insurance provider. This payment goes to Moncrief Cancer Institute and is used to provide free breast cancer screenings for underserved women who are uninsured and not able to afford a mammogram. One mammogram helps two women!
Who Should Screen
Annual screenings are recommended for women of average risk beginning at age 40.
